On Windows, when you open the Control Panel and Devices and Printers, your newly added printer is shown as installed, but the status is stuck in: Device setup in progress. You may also experience that the printer is listed under Unspecified devices. Despite this, the printer can be selected from applications and printed to successfully.
This may happen if Windows has issues downloading the correct icon for the printer. Issue has been reported for Windows 10, version 1903.
RESOLUTION: If restarting the computer does not solve the issue, then disable automatic download of custom icons available for your printers.

key + R to open Run. - Type: regedit, and select OK.
- In Registry Editor, browse to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Device Metadata
key + R to open Run.- Change the value PreventDeviceMetadataFromNetwork from 0 to 1.
- Restart the computer.
